What the TV Stick does
With a good TV tuner, you can use J. River Media Center to watch television. Over the air TV in the U.S. is completely digital now, so the picture is excellent.
The USB tuner J. River offers is the white object at the bottom of the picture above. It's ATSC, now standard in the U.S. It comes with a small antenna, a USB extension cable, and a driver disk. It supports digital up to 1920x1080i.
It's a very good tuner at a great price.

Consider adding a Media Center Remote.
Setup Instructions
Insert the TV stick and let Windows detect it. Then insert the CD and point the Windows installer to it. The rest should be automatic.
There is no need to install other software from the CD.
